Videos more videos      Biography Meagan Good is an American actress. She has received critical acclaim for appearing in films like Eve's Bayou, You Got Served, Biker Boyz, and Deliver Us from Eva. Meagan Monique Good was born on August 8, 1981 in Panorama City, California. She was brought up in a mainly Caucasian part of California along with her three siblings, one of whom was adopted. Her family was one of the first non-white families to enter the area and she felt that in her childhood she was treated differently because of her color and unique hairstyle. Meagan started studying in a public school but later when she started getting roles as a child actress, she was educated at home. She joined the entertainment industry when she was just four years old. Her mother was instrumental in getting her a foothold in the industry. Megan started by appearing in commercials and till date has appeared in more than 60 commercials at the national level. Meagan is also been a prolific actor on TV and has appeared in guest roles on The Parent 'Hood and Touched by an Angel and in starring roles on Raising Dad with Bob Saget and the Nickelodeon series, Cousin Skeeter. However, Megan is best known for her work in movies. She received her first speaking role at the age of 12. However, it wasn't until she was 16 that she made her big breakthrough appearance when she appeared in the starring role as Cisely Batiste in Kasi Lemmons' film Eve's Bayou (1997), opposite Samuel L. Jackson. Her role was critically acclaimed and in 1998, she was nominated for Image Award for Outstanding Youth Actor/Actress and for Young Star Award for Best Performance by a Young Actress in a Drama Film. Through late 1990s and early 2000s, Meagon appeared in a string of movies and television series. Her good looks and hot body also made her a sought-after actress for music videos. She appeared in videos for 50 Cent and Will Smith among others. In 2004, Megan appeared in the movie D.E.B.S. For this role, she was nominated for Black Movie Award for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role. In 2006, she appeared in Waist Deep and was nominated for Teen Choice Award for Best Female Breakout for her role. The same year her first movie as a producer, Miles From Home, was released. Megan also acted in the film and won the Independent Black Film Festival Award for Best Actress for her role. Megan has been also featured on various magazines with special dedications. Most notable among these are Black Men and King. Few people notice that Meagan's run in the entertainment industry spans more than twenty years. She has around twenty movies and about the same number of television shows to her credit. But, she is still hungry for success and now in her new role as a producer-actor is set to scale new heights.
