Videos more videos      Biography Sophia Bush is an American actress best known for her role as Brooke Davis in the CW series One Tree Hill. Sophia Anna Bush was born on July 8, 1982 in Pasadena, California. She is the only child of her photographer parents. Her father Charles William Bush is presently one of the top advertising and celebrity photographers in the United States. Her mother Maureen Bush is a photography studio manager. As a young girl, Sophia attended the all-girls high school Westridge in Pasadena, California. At the age of 17, She was crowned the Tournament of Roses Parade Queen when she graduated from Westridge in the spring of 2000. Next, Sophia joined the University of Southern California where she spent the next three years of her life. In her University years, Sophia was an active member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma campus sorority and also served as its Social Chair. In 2002, while still studying at the University, Sophia secured her first acting job as Sally in National Lampoon's Van Wilder. The movie also starred Tara Reid and Ryan Reynolds. In the same year, Sophie entered the television space with the movie Point of Origin. More acting offers followed and in February 2003, when she was 20 years old, she was seen on the television series Sabrina the Teenage Witch and later in the movie Learning Curves. Sophia was also a strong contender to play the lead role as Kate Brewster in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. However, she lost the role to Claire Danes as the director felt that Sophia was too young to play the part. Sophia also played Ridley in the 2003 opening season for the F/X series Nip/Tuck. In this role, which she essayed in two more episodes, her character dealt with issues of bisexuality and lesbianism. In the same year, Sophia got her most recognizable role as Brooke Davis on the teenage drama One Tree Hill. It was on the sets of One Tree Hill that Sophia entered into a relationship with fellow actor Chad Michael Murray. Sophia and Chad were married on April 16, 2005. However, the marriage lasted only five months and Sophia and Chad announced their separation on September 26, 2005. Meanwhile, apart from her television commitments Sophia continued to work in films. In 2005, she starred in Supercross, the high-action drama about motocross racing in a Las Vegas tournament. She was also nominated for Choice TV Actress: Drama at the 2005 Teen Choice Awards. In 2006, she was seen in the horror flick Stay Alive and the romantic comedy John Tucker Must Die. Sophia is still continuing strong on One Tree Hill and is destined to make it big in movies.
