Biography
Kelly Brook is a British model, actress, television show hostess, and swimwear designer.
Kelly Ann Parsons was born on November 23, 1979 in Kent, Rochester, England. Her father, Ken worked as a scaffolder and her mother, Sandra worked as a cook. Kelly studied at Rochester school and then the prestigious Italia Conti stage school in London, known for its famous students Naomi Campbell and Louise Nurding. She trained at the school for three years in dancing, singing, and acting before starting her career.
When Kelly was 16, her mother entered her in a beauty contest that changed her life. She won the contest and became keen on modeling. She first started off by doing a little bit of modeling for local firms, such as the flooring company KMS. However, by the time she was 16, she was seen on the covers of fashion magazines like GQ, For Him Magazine, Sky, Cosmopolitan, Tatler, The Face, and Company.
Kelly next went on to model for Foster's beer and Bravissimo, a company that specializes in making bras and lingerie for big-busted women. With her natural 32E bust size, she captured the attention of Daily Star and was soon featured as a Page 3 girl.
Kelly was flooded with more modeling assignments, and she was seen in print advertisements for Renault Megane, Walkers, and Piz Buin. She got the maximum exposure with an advertisement for Triumph Flaunt lingerie line that featured her bust on a 50-foot high billboard in London, perhaps the largest billboard in the world.
However, it was in 1999 that Kelly got her big break when she was chosen to be a presenter on the Channel 4 television show The Big Breakfast along with Johnny Vaughan. However, she quit the show after half a year.
Nonetheless, The Big Breakfast show opened new doors for Kelly and she next landed a job with MTV as the host of the show Select. She also landed other hosting assignments, which included the shows VLP and Babewatch for Granada as well as The T-Spot for Trouble TV. She also co-hosted the show No Worries and made guest appearances on Short Change and Fist of Fun.
In 2000, Kelly made her film debut in a minor role as Sarah in the film Sorted. That year, she also performed on stage in the stage production, Eye Contact at Riverside Theatre in Hammersmith in London. In the play, she played the role of Anya, a table dancer.
In 2001, Kelly acted in the film Ripper as Marisa Tavares. She also appeared as Lex Luthor's girlfriend in four episodes of the TV series Smallville. That year, she also released her first calendar.
In 2003, Kelly appeared as Lyle's girlfriend in the film The Italian Job. In 2004, Kelly had her first starring role in the film School for Seduction. In 2005, Kelly acted in the thriller film House of 9. In 2006, Kelly starred with fiancé Zane in the film Survival Island.
