Biography
Elizabeth Tea Pantaleoni was born on February 25th, 1966 in New York City. Her father is a corporate attorney and her mother a dietician. She is of Italian, Polish and American decent. She has one brother. She attended Brearley School and The Putney School as a child and went on to Sarah Lawrence College.
Her acting debut came in the 1980's in several television series' using the name Lisa DiNapoli. She later used her middle name and a shortening of her surname for her stage name to come up with Tea Leoni. In 1991 she had a part in the Penny Marshall hit A League of Their Own which starred Geena Davis, Tom Hanks, Rosie O'Donnel and Madonna. In 1995 she starred in Bad Boys with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, the movie was a huge boxoffice hit and gave Tea a wider audience. She went on to roles in many well received major motion pictures including: Deep Impact, Jurassic Park III, Hollywood Ending, Spanglish with Adam Sandler, Cloris Leachman and Paz Vega, and Fun With Dick and Jane with Jim Carrey.
On the personal front she married Neil Tardio in 1992 and the pair divorced in 1995. She later married actor David Duchovny on May 6th, 1997. They had their first child, a daughter, on April 24th, 1999 and a second child, a son, on June 15th, 2002.
