Biography
The Cheetah Girls is the role of an American girl band created by Disney Entertainment. They include Raven-Symoné, Adrienne Bailon, Kiely Williams and Sabrina Bryan. They were first created in the film The Cheetah Girls, a Disney Channel Original Movie. To promote the movie further, a singing band, Cheetah Girls was formed with the singers Adrienne Bailon, Kiely Williams, and Sabrina Bryan.
Raven-Symoné, Adrienne Bailon, Kiely Williams, and Sabrina Bryan appeared as The Cheetah Girls the first time in the film Cheetah Girls (2003).
Raven-Symoné plays the role of Galleria in the film. In real-life, Raven is an actress, R&B and pop singer, songwriter, dancer, and producer. She is best-known for her role as Raven Baxter, a teenager with psychic abilities in the mega hit Disney Channel Original Series That's So Raven. She is also known for her hit singles That's What Little Girls Are Made Of, Backflip, Bump, Grazing in the Grass, and This Is My Time.
Adrienne Bailon plays the role of Chanel in the film. In real-life, Adrienne is of Puerto Rican and Ecuadorian descent and is also known as a member of the all-girl group 3LW with Kiely Williams and Jessica Benson.
Kiely Williams plays the role of Aqua in the film. In real-life, Kiely is an American actress and singer best-known as a member of the all-girl group 3LW along with Adrienne Bailon and Jessica Benson.
Sabrina Bryan plays the role of Dorinda in the film. In real-life, Sabrina is a dancer, actress, and singer and has the Cheetah Girls to thank for her celebrity status. Prior to Cheetah Girls, she released a song BYou that reached #26 on the Radio Disney Top 30 Countdown.
Along with the film, the album Cheetah Girls (2003) was also released with the singles Girl Power, Cinderella, and Cheetah Sisters. The single Cinderella reached the top of Radio Disney chart. The album went on to be certified double platinum.
In 2005, The Cheetah Girls released their second album, a Christmas album Cheetah-licous Christmas. Adrienne Bailon, Kiely Williams and Sabrina Bryan went on a tour as The Cheetah Girls to promote the album. It included the singles Cheetah-licious Christmas and Five More Days 'Til Christmas.
In 2006, the sequel film The Cheetah Girls 2: When in Spain, was released. Raven-Symoné, Adrienne Bailon, Kiely Williams, and Sabrina Bryan reprised their role of The Cheetah Girls. The album The Cheetah Girls 2 was also released and it was certified gold. It included the singles The Party's Just Begun, Strut, Step Up, and Amigas Cheetahs. The single The Party's Just Begun reached number 7 on the Radio Disney chart while the single Strut reached the number three spot.
