She is a regular on popular WWE shows such as RAW and Smackdown. Trish was born as Patricia Anne Stratigias in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada on December 18, 1975. Trish grew up watching World Wrestling Federation (WWF), now called WWE. She used to be a huge fan of Hulk Hogan. However, she had no idea that she would one day be part of WWE and would be watched by millions of WWE fans around the world. She intended to be a doctor and after high school, she majored in biology and kinesiology at York University in Toronto. Destiny, however, had something else in store for her. In 1997, the staff and faculty at York University went on a strike forcing Trish to find another career. She started working in a local gym where she was pushed by friends and colleagues to take up fitness modeling. She went for it and started using the name Trish Stratus. Soon, Trish could be seen on the covers of popular fitness magazines. She also co-hosted Live Audio Wrestling, a Canadian pro wrestling talk show. With this show, she came to the notice of WWF. She was offered a chance to launch her wrestling career and Trish started her training. On March 19, 2000, Trish made her WWE debut on Sunday Night Heat as an escort for wrestlers Test and Prince Albert. She was soon managing their tag team but Trish wanted to taste real action. Her managing was marked by an incident where she was plowed through a folding table by Bubba Ray Dudley. This incident increased her thirst for action which was quenched only when Trish was crowned the WWE's Women's Champion in 2001. Trish went on to win the championship five more times and has become an all-time favorite with fans. Trish has been voted the WWE Babe of the Year thrice. However, she doesn't like to deviate much from wrestling and refuses to pose nude for Playboy. Trish was seen twice on Mad TV and has also worked in comedy shows in Canada, such as Royal Canadian Air Farce. In 2006, she has hosted the Canada's Walk of Fame gala, where she did a singing and dancing routine for the new inductees. Trish has also recorded a single I Just Want You for the album WWE Originals. Trish keeps in touch with her medical background by providing diet and exercise guidelines and recipes. She supports and contributes to the Easter Seals, The Special Olympics, The Ronald McDonald House, and other child-aimed charities. Trish has come a long way from being just a pretty looking babe to a great wrestler.
