Biography
Asia Carrera is a former American porn film star. She has German and Japanese ancestry. She is also known as Jessica Bennett. She created her pseudonym from the name of actress Tia Carrere.
Asia Carrera was originally named Jessica Andrea Steinhauser and was born on August 6, 1973 in New York City. Her mother is German and her father, Japanese. She attended Little Silver Public Schools, and Stuyvesant High School and Red Bank Regional High School. As a child, Asia was very intelligent and was a member of Mensa. Her parents wanted her to excel academically, but Asia had other interests. She studied piano and even had given performances at Carnegie Hall twice before she was 15.
When she was 16, Asia ran away from home to get away from the pressure from her parents and lead a life on her own terms. For some time, with a scholarship she won, she studied Japanese language and Economics at Rutgers University. However, she soon had to turn to stripping to make ends meet. She became one of the best-paid exotic strippers and decided to follow a career in porn to make more money.
In 1993, Asia prepared a demo tape and launched her porn career. At the end of 1993, she shifted to California to focus get a better hold in the porn industry. She got to meet porn film director Bud Lee through a mutual friend and was instantly cast in one of his films. She went on to act in more than 250 porn movies. She not only acted in porn movies but also wrote, produced, and directed porn movies. She used to do her own make-up and hair-style and used to help her co-stars too.
In the mid '90s, Asia got her right labia minora pierced and wears many gold rings there. She also had a silicon implant done to get a full C cup. She had another surgery to increase the size to D cup or larger.
In 1995, Asia got married to Bud Lee, who helped her get her big break. However, they got a divorce in 2003 after being separated for a long period. On December 19, 2003, Asia got married the second time to Don Lemmon, a nutritionist and author. They shifted to St. George, Utah where Asia had her first daughter, Catalina in 2005. Sadly, Don was killed in a car crash near Las Vegas in June 10, 2006 when she was heavily pregnant with their second child. She gave birth to their son on July 31st 2006 and named him Donald Edward Lemmon III after her late husband's name.
Asia has mostly retired from porn films except for occasional appearances in big-budget films.
