Biography
Tera Patrick is an American fashion model and a porn actress of Thai and Jewish descent. She is best known for her porn films such as Loose Screw and Nuttin' Hunnies as well as for her starring role in Playboy TV's Night Calls: 411. She is also known by the names Brooke Thomas, Sadie Jordan, Tera Hopkins, and Tara Patrick.
Originally named Linda Ann Hopkins Shapiro, Tera was born on July 25, 1976 in Great Falls, Montana. Her father is Jewish and her mother Thai. She grew up with her father in San Francisco, California after her mother moved back to Thailand.
When Tera was just 13, she was spotted by a talent scout for the Eileen Ford Modeling Agency and landed a contract as a model. She then shifted to New York to pursue her modeling career. At the age of 18, she left modeling to resume her studies. She earned an associate's degree in nursing and also a BS in Microbiology. Following this, she worked as a nurse for some time and shifted to California where she took up modeling again.
Tera got her big break when she sent her photographs to the Playboy along with her friends. Impressed with her exotic looks, Playboy asked her to pose for them. Soon, she also posed for Suze Randall, a photographer for Penthouse and Hustler. She soon topped this up with her hard-core porn appearances, most notably in Andrew Blake's Aroused (1999) and Loose Screw (1999). That year, she also hosted a television show, The Tera Patrick Show.
In 2000, Tera was named "Best New Starlet" at the Cannes Film Festival. Apart from this award, Tera has won many awards for her adult film roles. These include Adult Video News' best tease performance for her act in Island Fever.
In 2000, Tera hosted the Playboy TV's popular show Night Calls: 411. This added to her popularity. She hasn't looked back since then. She has gone on to star in more than 70 porn films and is a celebrity in the porn world.
In 2004, Tera got married to actor and rocker Evan Seinfeld, a member of the heavy metal band Biohazard and an actor in the television series Oz. She quit working with men in adult films since her relationship with Evan and stars only opposite Evan and other women. These films include Reign of Tera(2004) and Tera, Tera, Tera (2004).
In 2005, the couple started a talent agency for models and actors. Tera also owns an adult-entertainment production company TeraVision. In 2005, the company released its first adult film, Desperate starring Tera and Evan, which was co-produced with Vivid Entertainment Group. With these ventures, Tera hopes to be a big name in the porn film world.
