Videos more videos      Biography Hayden Panettiere is an American actress and singer. Hayden Leslie Panettiere was born on August 21, 1989 in Palisades, New York. Born to Italian parents her father was Lesley Vogel and her mother was actress Skip Panettiere. Thrust into showbiz at a very young age, Hayden appeared in her first commercial for Playskool when she was just eleven months old. By the time she was 4 years old, Hayden already had almost 50 commercial appearances to her credit. At this time she was selected for her first television role as Sarah Roberts on the ABC soap opera One Life to Live. She kept the role till 1997. When she was eight years old, Hayden appeared as Lizzie Spaulding on the CBS soap opera Guiding Light that portrayed her character's battle with leukemia. The show received a Special Recognition Award from The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for bringing national awareness of the disease to the attention of daytime viewers. Hayden played the role until 2001. Meanwhile, Hayden had also appeared in the miniseries A Will of Their Own, and the film The Object of My Affection. She also lent her voice to the Disney animated films A Bug's Life and Dinosaur and for Kairi, one of the main characters of Square Enix/Disney's Kingdom Hearts series. She later won the role of a football coach's daughter in Disney's Remember the Titans, arguably one of her best performances till date. In 2001, she was seen in The Affair of the Necklace, starring Hilary Swank, and the comedy Joe Somebody, starring Tim Allen. In 2002, Hayden went back to television for the starring role in Ally McBeal and a recurring guest role in Malcolm in the Middle. She established herself as a seasoned actress with roles in made-for-TV movie Tiger Cruise (2004), Raising Helen (2004), The Dust Factory (2004), and Ice Princess (2005). While a successful actress, Hayden also has many musical hits to her credit. In 2000, she was nominated for a Grammy for Best Spoken Word Album for Children for A Bug's Life Read-Along. She has recorded several singles for various films like Ice Princess, Tiger Cruise, Cinderella III, and Bridge to Terabithia. She also recorded a song called Your New Girlfriend for Girl Next, a compilation album of various up and coming female singers. Apart from acting and music, Hayden has also been the cover girl for Neutrogena's worldwide ad campaign. In this regard she followed in the footsteps of actresses Josie Bissett, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Mandy Moore, Kristin Kreuk, Mischa Barton, Gabrielle Union and Jennifer Freeman. Hayden was seen on an episode of Punk'd and guest starred in Law & Order: SVU. She currently stars as Claire Bennet in the NBC series Heroes as a high school cheerleader with a healing factor. Hayden has been romantically linked to music producer Jonathan "J.R." Rotem and is reportedly dating Stephen Colletti from MTV's Laguna Beach. From a child model to a seasoned actress to a successful musician, Hayden at a very young age has achieved a lot and is slated to scale more heights as she matures.
