Chan Chan
Extract from Ry Cooder's critically acclaimed 1997 album 'Buena Vista Social Club'. The opening track on the record, 'Chan Chan' is a composition by 89 year old Compay Segundo, a bandleader in pre-Castro Cuba in the '50s. The album garnished much attention & even further critical praise when respected director Wim Wenders made a documentary film about it that was released in 1998. Contains 'Chan Chan' & 'Dos Gardenias' from the album, plus the non-album track 'Macusa'. Slimline jewel case. 1997 release.
