In My High School Janelle Landauer from Country Music Online says it all...

2004 is the year for independent artists, in my personal opinion. Blaine Larsen released a terrific album this year, entitled "In My High School." How Do You Get That Lonely is just one of his truly amazing songs on this album. The Best Man and The Man He'll Never Know, which Blaine wrote or co-wrote, just add so much to this album. For a man of such a young age, Blaine has the songwriting and vocal ability to be very successful in country music. Accomplished songwriters Rory Lee Feek and Tim Johnson not only co-wrote several tracks on this album with Larsen, but they also produced this debut. This just proves that Blaine Larsen is destined to be a star with the support of such professionals as them. Larsen's ballads are the true stand-outs on this album, but his up-tempo songs add to complete the whole album project. In My High School is an amazing debut by such a talented newcomer. Keep an eye out for Larsen, as he is destined to be one of the best in Nashville if! given the chance.
