Kizzy Getrouw represents Curacao, Netherlands Antilles, at the Barbados Stadium in 1996. It's the traditional Folk music of Curacao called 'Tumba'. As the youngest contestant she places third at the Caribbean Folk Festival, but becomes the media and crowd's favourite. It's said that the governmaent of Curacao awarded her a full scholarship to Berklee Conservatory of Music (boston) thanks to this performance. | |
