This song struck me as a Mr. Rochester piece, and the words seemed to echo some of the passionate (brooding) dialogue he has in the book, Jane Eyre. His monologues were always interesting, slightly skewed, and very Sphynx-like. Charlotte Bronte wrote a very intriguing character in Mr. Rochester, and I hope that if you're reading this and haven't watched or read the novel that you do so!
