He is the senior curator of decorative arts, American painting, and sculpture at the Baltimore Museum of Art. Over the course of his career, Curry has served as curator at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, the Denver Art Museum, and the Freer Gallery of Art. He has organized several award-winning exhibitions of James McNeill Whistler's work and is currently planning an exhibition on Theodore David and the Hayes presidential china. Curry has authored American Dreams: Paintings and Decorative Arts from the Warner Collection; Fabergé: The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts; American Impressionism and Realism: The Painting of Modern Life, 1885-1915; Childe Hassam: An Island Garden Revisited; Winslow Homer: The Croquet Game; and most recently, James McNeill Whistler: Uneasy Pieces, which was released in November 2004.
