This clip is important in so many ways! The interview was conducted in the back of the now defunct legendary NYC punk music club CBGB's after a performance by alternative band Eve's Plum in 1993. The lead singer was none other than Colleen Fitzpatrick. We knew of Colleen as the feisty original Amber Von Tussle in John Waters film "Hairspray". Five years had passed between the release of the film in 1988 and this interview in 1993 for our public access program (actually if you remember our show we were huge fans of their music and showed all the videos!)and we were anxious to hear about her acting experience. Colleen is the whole package..sweet, beautiful, talented and has a great sense of humor. We wish her continued success in her career and cannot believe it has been 20 YEARS since the theatrical release of the original "Hairspray"!!
