On November 3, 1991, the Campbell's Soup Camden (New Jersey) Plant was imploded to make way for a GE Aerospace (previously RCA, now Lockheed Martin) facility. The plant, built in the late 1890's, was Campbell's flagship manufacturing facility and was the first in the world to produce condensed soups. Hundreds looked on, including many Campbell's retirees and their families, as the 100-year old plant was reduced to rubble in seconds. A Magee Media Presentation. | |
