Peter Vanderkaay, a Club Wolverine swimmer who has picked up the slack for absent teammate Michael Phelps throughout the tour, continued to dominate. After winning the 200-meter freestyle event in Barcelona earlier in the week by finishing in one minute, 48.07 seconds, Vanderkaay topped his previous time and took another gold medal after finishing in 1:47.35.
