Emma Lloyd (Uma Thurman) is a successful radio-talk-show host who dispenses relationship advice. She advises a distraught caller named Sofia (Justina Machado) to dump her fiancé, Patrick (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), on the eve of their marriage, which Sofia promptly does.
