Gene Reynolds is taken to the woodshed by Walter Huston in Of Human Hearts (1938), with Beulah Bondi. The film also starred James Stewart (as Reynolds' character grown up), John Carradine, Gene Lockhart, Ann Rutherford, Guy Kibbee, Charles Coburn, Sterling Holloway.
