In Cannes with his new film, "Paranoid Park," Gus Van Sant talks about working with emerging actors and focusing on younger characters in his work. The new film, adapted from Blake Nelson's young adult novel of the same name, is the story of a kid who hangs out at a popular Portland, OR skate park where he accidentally kills a local security guard and tries to keep the death a secret. It was acquired by IFC Films shortly after its debut at the festival. | |
