Billy Ray Cyrus was born in 1961 in Flatwoods, Kentucky. Cyrus intended to be a baseball player, but after buying a guitar while attending college on a baseball scholarship, decided to move to LA and pursue a musical career. Cyrus will forever be known for the catchy, lightweight single "Achy, Breaky Heart," which became a line-dancing anthem upon its 1992 release. "Achy, Breaky Heart" made Cyrus famous, spending five weeks at the top of the country. Cyrus hit TV screens in the role of a country doctor moved to to Manhattan in the sitcom Doc and recently in the Disney TV series, Hannah Montana along with his daughter Miley.
