Most of it borrowed from NBCs "Only the Best" campaign that started in 1987.This promo was recorded in Melbourne but different state capitals inserted their own state personalities.The newsreaders in Melbourne at the time were Glenn Taylor and Jennifer Keyte.Taylor didn't last and by years end he returned to Brisbane and Keyte read the news on her own.  | HSV 7 Nobody Knows Melbourne like Seven 1989 The FIRST incarnation of the "Nobody Knows Melbourne like Seven" promos that aired in 1989.The campaign was taken up by other Network stations at a later date and the slogan changed to "Nobody Knows NEWS like Seven".This particular clip aired in Melbourne in February 1989 and at the time was a breakthrough promo with a style not seen before.The combination of Black and White vision mixed with fast paced hand held camera angles was a new concept that was later imitated.Melbourne's Seven Nightly News in 1989 was anchored by Glenn Taylor and Jennifer Keyte. |
