Just as Elizabeth was obtaining the foundation to tackle HIV/AIDS discrimination in America...she met Michael Jackson. Their common bond has been working since they were very young children, thus, being robbed of a childhood but now they, no doubt, love each other very much. It is a very special, private relationship... not to be discussed or picked apart by those who know no better. In my eyes, Michael is a special man, vindicated from horrendous accusations and....as a fan, I intuitively believe that he will make the biggest comebacks in the history of show business. It is in the stars. Dame Elizabeth's attachment to complex, multi-dimensional people goes back to 1949 when her friendship with Montgomery Clift began. Monty was a tormented soul. She always knew the strength that was needed to maintain balance in this entertainment industry and has always possessed it herself. Her need for HIV/AIDS fundraising does not stem from wanting to feel important or prove anything to the world. It comes from her heart and soul. It comes from experiencing such loss that has encompassed her for two decades now. In the most egotistical, self-serving business that exists today, she gives of herself freely choosing to ignore all of that other superfluous stuff. Please donate if you can. This classic established Monty Clift and Elizabeth Taylor's life-long friendship. | | Montgomery clift trumpet From the movie "From here to eternity", best moment ever. | | James Dean, Montgomery Clift, and Marlon Brando A tribute to three great actors. | | FROM HERE TO ETERNITY(1953) Original Theatrical Trailer This Word War Two drama features an all-star cast, and is generally considered to be one of the best movies of all time. Burt Lancaster stars as Sgt. Warden, a career soldier who has an affair with his commanding officer's wife, played by Deborah Kerr. Montgomery Clift is a rebellious and proud soldier who falls in love with a prostitute(Donna Reed), and Frank Sinatra's performance of Maggio earned him an Oscar for best supporting actor. Ernest Borgnine, Claude Akins, George Reeves and Willis Bouchey are just some of the familiar faces that costar in this great production. | | 'A Place In The Sun' - Trailer [1951] Theatrical Trailer for 'A Place In The Sun', starring Montgomery Clift, Elizabeth Taylor & Shelley Winters. | | 'The Misfits' - Trailer [1961] Theatrical Trailer for 'The Misfits', starring Montgomery Clift, Marilyn Monroe & Clark Gable. | | Freud (Part 1 of 14) MAY 21 2011 IS JUDGEMENT DAY! "Alone he fought against his own dark passions...against the taboos of an outraged world...knowing that the shocking truth could ruin his career...destroy his marriage!" (From movie poster) This is a fascinating film and Monty gives an excellent performance as Dr. Freud. I'm quite a fan of this movie! There is much to be appreciated, from the amazing cinematic style with it's perfectly framed scenes, to the story itself which unfolds like a mystery. I particulary enjoy the clues that have been sprinkled throughout the movie. Some are more obvious than others and on Part 14 of 14 I've listed some of the more curious ones that I noticed (If there are any other Freud fans, please offer additional clues that are not overt, I'd love to discuss.) Starring Montgomery Clift, Susannah York, and Larry Parks. Directed by John Hutson. (1962) NY Times Critics Choice. |
