Duncan MacLeod himself, Adrian Paul, joined the tour for two days and entertained fans with behind-the-scenes stories about the filming of "Homeland." This is one fan's vacation photos. The song "Clumsy" was picked because a lot of fans found themselves "tripping" and "stumbling" up and down the Highland hills to get to some locations. Fortunately, Adrian was there to help us up when we fell down!Note: This is version 2. In case you're wondering where version 1 went... All tour participants had to give consent to be filmed (for the official tour DVD, not yet for sale online). Nevertheless, someone still objected to appearing my vid, so I re-edited the vid to remove them. The commentary track features actor Adrian Paul and director Michael Oblowitz. If you haven't watched the movie, you're in for an interesting ride. It's a noir-ish detective movie set in the future, with vampires as a breed of human. Human Woodbine and vampire Paul are partners, investigating a homicide, now interrogating vampire Lucy Westenra, played by Bai Ling. The commentary track was sprinkled with interesting and funny tidbits, including this one, about how the panther attacked Ling. The attack wasn't so funny, as the way Paul described it. He said Ling's feather outfit must have resembled a bird to the panther, ala "tweety pie."Do I recommend this film? It's one of those movies that grows on me. Until I heard the commentary, on the reasoning behind certain scenes, it wasn't clear to me what the director intended. It's okay as far as buddy cop movies, but it's definitely not a movie about vampires in the traditional sense. | | Paul, Adrian Paul in License to Thrill A fan's vision of what Adrian Paul cast as 007 might have looked like. | | Adrian Paul Doodles My Adrian Paul creations |
