 | Band Aid - Do They Know its Christmas 1984 Band Aid was a British and Irish charity supergroup, founded in 1984 by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure to raise money for famine relief in Ethiopia by releasing the record "Do They Know It's Christmas?" for the Christmas market that year. The single surpassed the hopes of the producers to become the Christmas number one on that release. The record was released on November 29, 1984, and went straight to No. 1 in the UK singles chart, outselling all the other records in the chart put together. It became the fastest- selling single of all time in the UK, selling a million copies in the first week alone. It stayed at No. 1 for five weeks, selling over three million copies and becoming easily the biggest-selling single of all time in the UK. Le agenzie di stampa riferiscono di un Berlusconi in famiglia con nipotini e Veronica a villa Certosa ma "in continuo contatto con i membri del G8". Alle 23 lo scenario immortalato da un video e dalle foto che "L'espresso" pubblica in esclusiva è diverso dall'iconografia ufficiale. A Villa Certosa si festeggia. Si vedono una quarantina di invitati intorno al Cavaliere in giacca bianca. Al tavolo c'è anche Simon Le Bon dei Duran Duran. L'idolo delle teen ager degli anni '80 canta il suo hit "Ordinary world" tra i gridolini delle belle ospiti. Quasi di fronte a Berlusconi siede Giampaolo Tarantini, l'imprenditore barese indagato per induzione alla prostituzione. Dopo Simon tocca a Silvio. Il Cavaliere agguanta il microfono e intona "L'ultimo amore" insieme al fido Apicella. Poi si scatenano le danze. Quando il deejay lancia il "Gioca jouer", una mezza dozzina di ragazze, tra cui si intravede Simona Ventura, salgono sul palco come cubiste. Nelle foto c'è anche Sabina Began, insieme a una splendida ragazza che, incurante della minigonna cavalca una giostrina. Berlusconi passeggia tra i tavoli. Si dirige verso l'autore del filmato.
