Trolltunga (Norwegian for "Troll's tongue") is a piece of rock that stands horizontally 700 meters above lake Ringedalsvatnet with a breathtaking view. Photo number 9: From Wikipedia: The Leshan Giant Buddha was built during the Tang Dynasty (618--907AD). It is carved out of a cliff face in the southern part of Sichuan province in China, near the city of Leshan. It is the largest carved stone Buddha in the world - 71 metres (233 feet) tall Photo number 8: This Photo got very famous around the web during 2003, under the name "shark in wave", it is A real, unaltered photo taken by photographer Kurt Jones on April 19, 2003 in Australia (you can order prints of the photo from his website). Kurt Jones wrote on February 9th, 2004: it's a dolphin, NOT a shark......sorry to disappoint. They are fairly frequent visitors to that break, but I've never seen one do this before or since.... I have three children that just get giddy during December -- excited each morning as they get closer and closer to Christmas Day. That excitement is so contagious. I love it. It's the kind of energy and eagerness that keeps you up at night. I wanted to capture that joy and anticipation in this arrangement. People have told me that this reminds them of the Pirates of the Caribbean. Maybe one year the Pirates franchise will make a Christmas special and THIS could be the theme song! Instead of Carol of the Bells it could be titled "Jack Sparrow of the Bells." =) Merry Christmas Everyone! The ship and its 29-man crew vanished in a storm with 80 mile-an-hour winds and wave heights up to 25 feet. Animusic is a computer animation company specializing in the visualization of MIDI-based music. This is a computer generated video showing robots and self-operating instruments playing classical music inside a large building. There are pipe organs, clarinets, and flutes that emit light-beams as they play notes; some trumpets and tubas affixed to walls, and they stick out when they play individually; a one-stringed rock bass guitar played by robot fingers, two of which slide up and down its neck; a yellow synthesizer; and a drum set, and two large, curved instruments, the hammered dulcimer and the xylophone, played by robots that pivot and slide back and forth to hit their mark. The music on this piece is from 3 movements of Mussorgsky's 1874 "Pictures at an Exhibition" ten-movement piano suite. They are: "Promenade" [from start to 1:38] "Hut on Fowl's Legs (Baba Yaga)" [from 1:38 to 3:45] "The Great Gate of Kiev" [from 3:45 to end] Do you notice the picture on the bass drums? It is a drawing of the Great Gate of Kiev complete with a bell tower to its right. The music sounds like Emerson, Lake & Palmer's version of "Pictures at an Exhibition". |

But I did! As a close up, I can see the intricacies of Judy's face, her eyes ... & of all the close up videos I've done, this was the most surprising gift. I hadn't seen the movement & facial expressions of Judy as clearly. She's glowing ... Some interesting facts: Ralph Blaine wrote the lyrics. He was told to write a song about trolleys for the movie, and was having a hard time coming up with inspiration. He finally came up with some lyrics when he went to the library and found a children's book with a picture of a St. Louis trolley car with the caption: "Clang, clang, clang went the jolly little trolley." In 2004, the American Film Institute ranked this #26 on the 100 Greatest Songs in American Films list. Words and music by Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane.
