Este paisaje alimenta el caudal de su alma romántica y soñadora que Victor Hugo lleva consigo y que manifiesta en sus interpretaciones a través de su voz y de su canto.Victor Hugo es poseedor de una larga trayectoria artística, cuya vocación con gran pasión por el canto y la música la heredó de su padre.A los 17 años conformó el dúo " Fascinación ", junto a Alfredo Alian, juntos fueron acreedores de la simpatía del público ecuatoriano y ganadores de un sinnúmero de festivales de música ecuatoriana comenzando por el intercolegial representando al Instituto Superior "Benito Juárez", colegio donde estudió. Posteriormente los d^erentes concurso de canto organizado por radiodifusoras dan cuenta de su éxito.En 1988 realiza su primera grabación discográfica como solista, auspiciado por Alfredo Paia bajo el sello de producciones " Elizabeth " con temas de su propia creación como " Ansiedad " (vals)," No dudes de mi amor" (bolero)con arreglos y dirección del maestro Enrique Mendoza y Carlos" chino" Cando. Esto le permitió hacerse conocer ampliamente en el medio artístico musical.En Ecuador realiza innumerables actuaciones alternando con reconocidos talentos como Segundo Rosero ídolo nacional, Jaime Enrique Aimara, Tania Paredes, Azucena Aymara Mar-garita Lugue, Segundo Bautista, Trio Majestad y otros.Inspirado por su alma bohemia, romántica, soñadora y con el deseo de incursionar en nuevos mundos,viaja a la ciudad de París, ciudad de los sueños, cuna del arte y la cultura.En la escuela de Canto en París, logra desarrollar nuevas técnicas y estilo de voz propios a su talento, lo cual lo proyecta como uno de los intérpretes latinoamericanos con mucho futuro en este hermoso pero difícil campo artístico musical.En París Victor Hugo se relacionana con diferentes músicos franceses, así como con agrupaciones latinas, difundiendo siempre el arte y la cultura ecuatoriana através de la música.Multifacético, en 1995 forma parte del Mariachi Azteca como, vocalista, realizando una gira por algunos paises del medio oriente como el Líbano y la lejana Siria.En 1998 conoce a Julián Osorio requintista colombiano con quien funda el grupo los «Bohemios del recuerdo», apoyados por Javier y Alejandro de Cali, gravan su primer CD recopilando hermosos temas y melodías del recuerdo de grandes interpretes como Julio Jaramillo, Olimpo Cárdenas entre otros, este CD contó con una valiosas aceptación en el público latinoamericano en especial Ecuador, Colombia y Perú.Paralelamente Victor, Hugo es vocalista de la orquesta «Dakar, Havana» con quienes lanza un nuevo trabajo discográfico.  | Victor Hugo Con Kike Harvey: "Viva La Salsa" Victor Hugo 'The Salsa Artist'Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Victor Hugo graduated from Universidad Central de Venenzuela with a degree in Biology and one in Performing Arts. His mother was an actress and jazz singer and was a well known face in film and television. Whilst still a teenager, Victor starred in and directed several musical and theatre.He left his home to go to London to pursue a career in the arts, having won a scholarship from the Venezuelan government to study film making whilst continuing his work in music. Undeterred by the loss of his funding with political change at home, Victor continued in his musical career.Victor's international reputation was secured in April 2005 with the release of the album Salsa Pa'America which featured Kike Harvey on the track Viva la Salsa. It won Best Salsa Album while the song Havanera from the album won Best Salsa Song at the 2006 JPF music awards in the USA. Victor was also nominated for Best Latin Artist in the UK in 2005. the same year he landed an exclusive deal in Asia after a successful tour of Hong Kong and Singapore. Few artists are as prolific as Victor Hugo. In 2006 he released a re-mastered version of his most loved album. Latinoamerica, which never enjoyed the commercial success that it deserved. Now it is recognised as a masterful piece of musical arrangements. All the songs were arranged by Armin Keil who collaborated with Victor in this unique, once in a lifetime musical project. His next album is entitled Que Pasa and it promises to be yet another commercial success. Several projects are waiting to be finalized. A new album where Victor crosses over into Reggaeton (the new Latin craze) entitled 'Perfecto'. A second collaboration with Kike called Salsa y Soneos is also in the pipeline as is a third to be recorded in Cuba, which will be a 'Salsa in English' project with Cuban bass player and arranger Rey Crespo. Victor lectures on the 'History of Latin American Music' in colleges and universities across Europe. The lectures on the socio-political impact of Latin American popular music are practically a hobby.
