 | Mia Hamm Mia Hamm was one of the greatest female soccer players of all-time. In her 18 year career (1987-2004) she scored 158 goals, a record in both the men's and women's game. She also holds the United States records for assists (144), points (450), hatricks (10) and is second in apperences (275) only to Krisine Lilly, she is also the youngest player to ever play for the National Team at age 15. Mia Hamm also scored a record 104 goals in college at the University of North Carolina, where she also won 4 National Championships. Mia Hamm also won 2 world cups and 2 gold medals along with a WUSA Championship in 2003. Mia retired in 2004, but she will always be in the hearts of millions of girls all over the world. |
