I should be unwilling to take the life of a lamb for the sake of the human body." ~Mahatma Gandhi, Indian spiritual leader"The question is not, Can they reason? nor, Can they talk? but, Can they suffer?" ~Jeremy Bentham, English philosopher"All the arguments to prove man's superiority can not shatter this hard fact: In suffering, the animals are our equals." ~Peter Singer, Australian philosopher"Of all the creatures, man is the most detestable. Of the entire brood, he`s the one that possesses malice. He is the only creature that inflicts pain for sport, knowing it to be pain. The fact that man knows right from wrong proves his intellectual superiority to the other creatures; but the fact that he can do wrong proves his moral inferiority to any creature that cannot." ~Mark Twain, American Novelist"In relation to them (the animals), all people are Nazis; for the animals it is an eternal Treblinka." ~Isaac Bashevis Singer, Holocaust survivor, Winner of the 1978 Nobel Prize in Literature"Our grandchildren will ask us one day: Where were you during the holocaust of the animals? What did you do against these horrifying crimes? We won't be able to offer the same excuse the second time, that we didn't know." ~Helmut Kaplan, German author, philosopher "Auschwitz begins wherever someone looks at a slaughterhouse and thinks they´re only animals" ~Theodor Adorno, German sociologist, philosopher"The worst sin towards our fellow creatures is not to hate them, but to be indifferent to them, that's the essence of inhumanity." ~George Bernard Shaw, Irish playwright"Atrocities are not less atrocities when they occur in laboratories and are call medical research." ~George Bernard Shaw, Irish playwright"As long as man continues to be the ruthless destroyer of lower living beings he will never know health or peace. For as long as men massacre animals, they will kill each other. Indeed, he who sows the seed of murder and pain cannot reap joy and love." ~Pythagoras, Greek philosopher"You put a baby in a crib with an apple and a rabbit. If it eats the rabbit and plays with the apple, I'll buy you a new car." ~Harvey Diamond, health author"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." ~Margaret Mead, American cultural anthropologist"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." ~Edmund Burke, Anglo-Irish statesman, author | | ESPN Sportscenter Commercial - Pete Sampras An ESPN Sportscenter Commercial from 1997 where Pete Sampras works at ESPN headquarters. | | Pete Sampras goes nuts against the chair umpire At the 1996 US Open quarterfinal match against Alex Corretja, Pete Sampras went "nuts" (in his own way) against the chair umpire. Mi espalda no ayuda mucho". Estuve match point y no aproveché", explicó. GAT |
