Three And Out - World Charity Premiere
London: 21 April 2008www.lsq.tv for all premieres. World Charity Premiere - Three and Out at the Odeon Leicester Square. Some controversy in the Square this evening. It's not often you can get London Underground Staff in such fine voice, but tonight they came out in force to make a point about the flippancy of plots that glorify jumping in front of a train. Their booing added some blue notes to an otherwise excellent premiere. I was lucky enough to have seen this brilliant film at a screening last week and was able to engage Mackenzie Crook and have him sign "my board", have a nice chat with Imelda Staunton and have a picture taken with Colm Meaney. There were some flames around the Square -- it was a world premiere after all -- but not enough to keep us warm. Mackenzie's co-star, Bond girl and rocket-rising star Gemma Arterton looked a little chilly in a gorgeous Burberry dress and some really cool looking scoop-of-ice-cream-missing-from-the-ankles shoes. She signed along the fanline and posed for pics. Imelda Staunton was a particular favourite with the fans. Max Clifford made a distinguished leonine appearance. Some mused that perhaps Max had arranged the protest for a bit of publicity. That's not Max's kind of publicity; he's a man to go to when you need things kept out of the papers. If you'd woken up with two dead hookers and four kilograms of class A, a man like Max would be the one to call. Just joking Max. Some lucky fans got to go inside the premiere. They were chosen in a contest and I got to hear what goes on inside. They got free popcorn, water at the seat, an introduction from the director, producer and stars, an organ rising from below stage AND a huge screen of what was going on outside -- me making this film for one -- and all the other happenings. Great night and it didn't rain!Stars in attendance:Imelda StauntonColm MeaneyMackenzie CrookGemma ArtertonCelebs spotted:Max CliffordJon CulshawSummer StrallenDanielle LloydCheryl BakerGabriella CilmiJacquiline GoldJodie MarshShobna GulatiNancy LamBuster MartinMedia in attendance:BBC LondonBBC South EastSky NewsITN OnITV BorderLeicester Square TVPA MultimediaSun OnlineWireimage.comMovie BeatMy Movies.netRadio Cluster 1Print Cluster 1Print Cluster 2Holy MolyThe Fan CarpetAs usual, please let me know of omissions, errors and comments. What would you do for 10 years pay? Pleasure the boss? Chop off your hand?Check out this promo for the new British film "Three and Out" about life, love and tube drivers. Starring Mackenzie Crook, Colm Meaney and Gemma Arterton. Out this week!
Three and Out charity world premiere
Two Drag Queens began the days proceedings with their attempt to find twenty glamorous people to attend the premiere, in the end they suceeded in only getting less then 10 which i suppose speaks volumes for us londoners and glamour. on the celebrity side of things it was excellent with Colm Meaney, Mackenzie Crook, Imelda Staunton and new bond girl Gemma Arterton and loads more showing up for the premiere. Some celebs may have been put of the train drivers protest but in the end most of the stars still braved the boos to sign for the loyal fans who waited all day for them to arrive. please enjoy the video. Who is the only actor to have appeared in 14 seasons of Star Trek, as well as having the second-highest number of appearances on the franchise? If you said Colm Meaney, you are a true Trekkie. The Irish actor, who turns 55 today, starred as Chief Miles O'Brien on both Star Trek: The Next Generation from 1987 to 1994, and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, from 1993 to 1999.
