She sang her own songs in filming "Show Boat" but the studio thought her voice not good enuf and they dubbed her songs with the voice of Annette Warren. As you will hear in this clip, Ava's (singing) voice should have stayed in the film, much sweeter and more natural. Ava never forgave the studio for this! |
