Doch eines Tages geht der Player plötzlich aus und seitdem tut sich jetzt gar nichts mehr. Der MP3-Player - immerhin ein iPod von der Firma Apple - ist kaputt. Das allein ist schon ärgerlich. Kommt hinzu: Das Ding ist schon älter und die Garantie abgelaufen. Vielleicht lässt sich der MP3-Player ja noch reparieren? Jasmin ruft beim Hersteller Apple an und erfährt: Eine Reparatur ist möglich. Jasmin ist zunächst be- und dann entgeistert. Sage und schreibe 205 Euro soll die Reparatur kosten, wenn's der Hersteller selbst macht.Neupreis 190 Euro -- Reparaturkosten 205 EuroJasmin ist entsetzt: ?Ich finde das geht gar nicht. Ich habe damals 190 Euro dafür bezahlt und wenn ich heute einen neuen mit den selben Funktionen kaufen würde, würde ich 150 bezahlen" Stattdessen will Apple 205 Euro fürs Reparieren des alten Gerätes. Vielleicht ein Versehen? Wir fragen nach, ob es auch günstiger gegangen wäre. Ein Interview bekommen wir nicht, nur eine knappe schriftliche Antwort: ?Nein, es hätte bei Apple keine günstigere Möglichkeit gegeben." Diese Kosten seien eine Pauschale. Der Kunde erhalte dafür aber auf jeden Fall ein funktionierendes Gerät zurück -- wie großzügig.Geld sparen in der WerkstattJasmin ist das trotzdem zu teuer. Im Internet findet sie andere iPod-Geschädigte. Und den Hinweis auf eine kleine Studentenfirma in Bonn. Das Unternehmen portatronics hat sich auf iPod-reparaturen spezialisiert. Die Mini-Werkstatt von Jan Fürstenfeld und Co. lebt gut davon. Apples hohen Preisen sei Dank. Nach rund 20 Minuten läuft Jasmins MP3-Player wieder. Sie bezahlt 29 Euro. Wir erinnern uns: Apple wollte 205 Euro haben.Apple repariert die Geräte nicht, sondern tauscht die iPods einfach gegen neue oder neuwertige Geräte aus. Dementsprechend hoch ist natürlich auch der Preis. Jan Fürstenfeld macht es anders. Hier werden die Geräte wirklich repariert, die Firma tauscht nur die Ersatzteile aus, die auch tatsächlich defekt sind. Daher auch der geringere Preis. Für Apples Pauschale könnte an einem iPod das Steuerrad, das Display, das Gehäuse, die Festplatte und die gesamte Elektronik getauscht werden. Dass das alles gleichzeitig kaputt geht, ist sehr unwahrscheinlich. Die Reparatur-Pauschale für Jasmins iPod ist also auch noch völlig aus der Luft gegriffen.Digitalkameras, Drucker und andere ÜberraschungenAbsurde Reparaturpauschale gibt es auch woanders. Am Batteriefach einer Olympus-Digitalkamera ist ein klitzekleines Plastik-Teil abgebrochen. Der Besitzer rechnet mit Kosten in Höhe von 60 bis 80 Euro. Olympus will für die Reparatur aber pauschal satte 133 Euro haben. In einer kleinen Elektrowerkstatt kostet die Reparatur dagegen nur 50 Euro. Also über 80 Euro weniger.Nächstes Beispiel: Epson verlangt für die Reparatur eines Tinten-Druckers eine Pauschale von 116 Euro. Neukaufen ist billiger. Im Laden kostet der Drucker nämlich nur 70 bis 80 Euro.Ex und HoppAuch Jasmin hätte die Reparatur beim Hersteller mehr gekostet, als ein neuer iPod. Dabei ärgert sie sich auch über die Doppelzüngigkeit von Apple. Das Unternehmen wirbt mit seinem Einsatz für die Umwelt. Auf seiner Homepage steht: ?Apple ... setzt sich nachhaltig dafür ein, die Auswirkungen seiner Aktivitäten und Produkte auf die Umwelt zu verringern."Und wie sieht es in der Praxis aus? Viele Kunden werden den defekten Player nicht reparieren, sondern das alte Gerät schlicht wegschmeißen. Und so produziert Apple zusätzlichen Elektroschrott.
