With a star-studded cast including great names such as the late Rod Steiger as well as Ed Lauter, Jeff Bridges, Randy Quaid and Gary Busey, you'd have thought this movie would have achieved an above-average amount of fame. For some reason (probably because of the misleading "XXX" in the title) it ended up buried in the junk pile, never to be released on VHS or DVD, and is now nearly impossible to find. My copy was recorded from a television broadcast years ago and unfortunately was the victim of "editing of mature content".Released in Europe under the title, "The Lolly Madonna War", it's an excellent film that deserves to be recognized but sadly is not. |
