 | The Donna Reed Show: The Complete First Season AAA is very pleased to announce the release of the first season and 50th anniversary of the Donna Reed Show! You may remember Donna as Jimmy Stewart's steadfast and supportive other half in the Christmas Movie "It's a Wonderful Life". Donna had a long and distinguished film career prior to her TV show, which included winning an academy award in 1953 for playing a prostitute in the film "From Here To Eternity". But in the 1960's she became a household name and icon of American motherhood, playing the perfect wife and mother, Donna Stone. Watch her analyze, multi-task, meddle, problem solve, and philosophize all while remaining perfectly coiffed. Not to mention that she had Shelley Fabares and heart-throb Paul Petersen playing her children. Donna had some cool guest stars on the show--the silent film maverick Buster Keaton, singing sensation Jimmy Darren, olympic swimmer, actress and MGM gal pal Esther Williams, sports legends Willie Mays and Don Drysdale to name a few. So if you missed the Donna Reed Show on ABC from 1958 -1966 and you missed the re-runs on Nick@Nite in the 1990's or if you've just been generally missing the Stone Family, the first season will be available on DVD October 28th. | | FROM HERE TO ETERNITY(1953) Original Theatrical Trailer This Word War Two drama features an all-star cast, and is generally considered to be one of the best movies of all time. He puts off going to college to help in the family business until Harry graduates from high school and can replace him at the Bailey Building and Loan Association, vital to many of the disadvantaged in town. "Little Martha", the ninth and final composition on The Allman Brothers Band's fourth album, Eat A Peach, was the first and only Allman Brothers track written solely by group leader and partial namesake Duane Allman, who would die on October 29, 1971, shortly after the recording sessions that produced it. Allman's original recording of the song is a bouncy fingerstyle acoustic guitar duet with minimal accompaniment. Allman and bandmate Dickey Betts played the tune on 6-string guitars using open E tuning. The song's simple melody and rhythmic counterpoint quickly made it a favorite among fans; acoustic guitar virtuoso Leo Kottke, who often covered the song in performance, once called it "the most perfect guitar song ever written". Song Origin The story goes that Allman had a dream where Jimi Hendrix showed him the melody of the tune in a Holiday Inn motel bathroom, using the sink faucet as a guitar fretboard. Remembering the melody during the October 1971 sessions that produced most of the third side of what would become Eat A Peach, Allman laid down the track, joined only by Dickey Betts and bassist Berry Oakley, though Oakley's part would be mixed out of the final version, leaving the number as a duet for the two guitarists. (Oakley's part would be restored on the 1989 box set Dreams.) The song's namesake was ... | | Quique Villanueva....¨Se te Nota en la Mirada¨ Excelente canción del recuerdo...que lo disfruten.
