Passant désormais ses soirées à bouder tout seul au bar du coin, l'infortuné Cal est pris en main comme complice et protégé d'un séduisant trentenaire, Jacob Palmer (Ryan Gosling). Pour l'aider à oublier sa femme et à commencer une nouvelle vie, Jacob tente de faire découvrir à Cal les nombreuses perspectives qui s'offrent à lui : femmes en quête d'aventures, soirées arrosées entre copains et un chic supérieur à la moyenne. Cal et Emily ne sont pas les seuls en quête d'amour: le fils de Cal, Robbie, 13 ans, est fou de sa babysitter de 17 ans, Jessica, laquelle a jeté son dévolu...sur Cal ! Et en dépit de la transformation de Cal et de ses nombreuses nouvelles conquêtes, la seule chose qu'il ne peut changer reste son c?ur, qui semble toujours le ramener à son point de départ. This was during the Punk Rock and New Wave craze and The Cold drew their share of fans from the genre. I know, I was one. Members of The Cold included lead singer Barbara Menendez on organ, Vance DeGeneres (yes, Ellen's brother) on bass and vocals, Kevin Radecker and Bert Smith on guitar and vocals, and Chris Luckette on drums and vocals. Please excuse the sound quality. I made this video using a cassette tape I made of this song back in 1980. The photos were harvested off the web.  | The Cold 1981 TV Special The Cold was New Orleans' greatest band. This clip shows them at their peak during a 1981 concert at the hallowed Jimmy's Music Club. The band was comprised of five extremely talented musicians, including Vance Degeneres (the more talented sibling of Ellen Degeneres who created Mr. Bill and was a correspondent for the Daily Show). In addition to great concert footage, the special has some truly hilarious comedy sketches (Pregnancy Mood Ring!). If you don't know the Cold, prepare yourself for a pleasant surprise.
