 | Strangers In The Night - Frank Sinatra - Piano Cover "Strangers in the Night" is a popular song, made famous in 1966 by Frank Sinatra. Reaching number one on both the Billboard Hot 100 chart and the Easy Listening chart, it was the title song for Sinatra's 1966 album Strangers in the Night, which would become his most commercially successful album. The song also reached number one on the UK Singles Chart. Sinatra's recording won him the Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance and the Grammy Award for Record of the Year, as well as a Grammy Award for Best Arrangement Accompanying a Vocalist or Instrumentalist for Ernie Freeman at the Grammy Awards of 1967. The English lyrics were written by Charles Singleton and Eddie Snyder. The music was originally recorded by Ivo Robi? for the music festival in Split, Croatia. Robi? later sang the song in German "Fremde in der Nacht" and in Croatian language "Stranci u No?i". A thorough adaptation and an arrangement of the piece was done for Sinatra's version by Bert Kaempfert (who had included an instrumental version in his score for the film A Man Could Get Killed); however, this adaptation was taken to court in 1966 by composer Ralph Chicorel, who claimed that 24 of "Strangers"' 32 bars had been copied from his song, "You Are My Love." The Jaime Foxx Foundation with the help of Under Armour Basketball put on the third annual Summer Slam basketball event. This event included a 3 on 3 tournament as well as a live auction. The best part of the event is when more NBA players showed up than originally anticipated and instead of running a 3 on 3 they gave the crowd and kids a show by running 3 full court games. After running the games the guys gave back to the charity and helped to raise nearly 1/2 million dollars for the at risk youth home. Barry Bonds, Mario, Bullets for Peace, Kenny Lofton, Gary Payton & more also gave to the cause. Obama's having been born and raised a Muslim and having left the faith to become a Christian make him neither more nor less qualified to become president of the United States. But if he was born and raised a Muslim and is now hiding that fact, this points to a major deceit, a fundamental misrepresentation about himself that has profound implications about his character and his suitability as president. The Catholic school: Nedra Pickler of the Associated Press reports that "documents showed he enrolled as a Muslim" while at a Catholic school during first through third grades. Kim Barker of the Chicago Tribune confirms that Obama was "listed as a Muslim on the registration form for the Catholic school." A blogger who goes by "An American Expat in Southeast Asia" found that "Barack Hussein Obama was registered under the name 'Barry Soetoro' serial number 203 and entered the Franciscan Asisi Primary School on 1 January 1968 and sat in class 1B. ... Barry's religion was listed as Islam." I researching this I was unable to find a copy of this enrollment form. If anyone can send me a link that would be great. Many articles state that another prior school is listed on this form-but no one states the name of that school. It is evident that the Catholic school was the second of three schools attended by Obama.
