 | Follies - Michigan Opera - Ron Raines - "Too Many Mornings" This video shows the wonderful performances of Ron Raines & Nancy Dussault from the Michigan Opera Theatre's production of Sondheim's Follies in October 1989. Raines, best known for his Guiding Light soap opera role, has perhaps the perfect leading man/musical voice - and why we've not seen him more on B'way is the question... If you don't have his two solo albums, run - don't walk - to get them. Dussault, returning to the stage after her TV run on "Too Close for Comfort" - is a touching, nicely sung Sally. Wasn't a bad Into the Woods Witch, either. That video I'll post another day. |
