It continues to the story of Mathayus, continuing the second film's story where in the end he sets out to be a mercenary. The film stars Selina Lo as a new character named Tsukai. Plot As The Scorpion King 3 begins, Mathayus has lost his beloved queen and been driven from his former kingdom by a virulent plague. Now, an assassin for hire, Mathayus is dispatched by Horus, the King of Egypt, to protect his ally King Ramusan from imminent attack. In return for his services, he is promised Ramusan's daughter Silda in marriage, as well as the legendary Eye of the Gods medallion, which imparts supernatural powers to its wearer. But to collect the reward, he will have to first rescue the princess, who is being held captive by Talus, the scheming brother of Horus. Mathayus agrees to the perilous mission, but the evil that lies in wait for him will challenge even his cunning and strength in a staggering test of courage unlike any he has faced before. This was Slidin' Selena's last concert in the year 2007, because of her being pregnant she takes a 4 month break till March 2008. Lielian Tan makes her debut in the Hague Jazzclubs, she and the audience hope she will return often. The Clarinet is played by the Invisible Man (almost), don't confuse him with the Invincible Man, or would they be the same person......? Koos Greven plays the banjo steady as a rock. Our human metronome is much inspired by Freddy Green, of Count Basie fame. Michel Muller is the front lead man on his trumpet. The tune was composed and first recorded on August 17, 1917 by the Original Dixieland Jass Band for Aeolian-Vocalion Records. The Aeolian Vocalion sides did not sell well, as they were recorded in a vertical format becoming obsolete at the time which could not be played successfully on most contemporary phonographs. Their second recording of the tune on 25 March, 1918 for Victor Records, on the other hand, was a smash national hit. The song was copyrighted and credited to ODJB members Nick La Rocca, Eddie Edwards, Henry Ragas, Tony Sbarbaro, and Larry Shields, along with Harry Da Costa. However, other New Orleans, Louisiana musicians claimed that the tune had been a standard in the city even before. Some others even copyrighted the same melody ... |

 | Bennie Moten's Kansas City Orch. - Rumba Negro, 1929 Bennie Moten (1894 --1935) was a jazz pianist and band leader born in Kansas City, Missouri. He led the Kansas City Orchestra, the most important blues-based orchestra active in the South West in the 1920s, and helped to develop the ?riffing" style that would come to define many of the 1930s Big Bands. His first recordings were made in 1923, and were rather stiff interpretations of the New Orleans style of King Oliver and others. They also showed the influence of the Ragtime that was still popular in the area. They next recorded in 1926 for Victor In the more sophisticate style of Fletcher Henderson. By 1928 Moten's piano was showing some Boogie Woogie influences, but the real revolution came in the early 1930s when he recruited Count Basie, Walter Page and Oran 'Hot Lips' Page. Walter Page's walking bass lines gave the music an entirely new feel compared to the 2/4 tuba of his predecessor Vernon Page, coloured by Basie's understated, syncopated piano fills. In this time Ben Webster (tenor sax) and Jimmy Rushing (vocal) had also joined. Tragically Bennie Moten died in 1935 from a botched tonsillectomy operation.
