Kennedy Center Honors 2001 - Julie Andrews (Part 2)
**ATTENTION** I am aware that Audra's song has been cut. Sadly, I was sent this video, and it came cut. I do not have the orignal to post. I am very sorry! A medley of artists sing the songs that made Julie famous at the Kennedy Center Honors in 2001. Patrick Wilson -- "The Street Where You Live" Kristin Chenoweth -- "A Spoonful of Sugar" Robert Goulet -- "If Ever I Would Leave You" Audra McDonald -- "I Could Have Danced All Night" Jeremy Irons -- "I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face" Rebecca Luker -- "The Sound of Music"
ROBERT GOULET - If Ever I Would Leave You (Live w / lyrics)
RIP Rob......LYRICS: If ever I would leave you It wouldn't be in summer. Seeing you in summer I never would go. Your hair streaked with sun-light, Your lips red as flame, Your face with a lustre that puts gold to shame! But if I'd ever leave you, How could it be in autumn. How I'd leave in autumn I never will know. I've seen how you sparkle When fall nips the air. I know you in autumn And I must be there. And could I leave you running merrily through the snow? Or on a wintry evening when you catch the fire's glow? If ever I would leave you, How could it be in spring-time? Knowing how in spring I'm bewitched by you so? Oh, no! not in spring-time! Summer, winter or fall! No, never could I leave you at all!
Smashing Pumpkins/Robert Goulet mash-up
The guitar solo from Smashing Pumpkins' "Cherub Rock" overlapped with Will Ferrell's Robert Goulet vocal solo from a Conan O'Brien appearance. My friend Erik discovered that these two miraculously match up perfectly, with no alterations, pitch-shifting or anything done to it at all. If anyone needs proof that Will Ferrell is a genius, this is it! For more info on Erik, check out the website for his podcast: www.pingetcetera.com

"More" - Jaron and The Long Road to Love
"More" is the theme from the Italian movie Mondo Cane, from 1962. The music was written by Riz Ortolani and Nino Oliviero, being nominated for an Academy Award for Best Song in 1963. The original Italian title was "Ti guardeṛ nel cuore" and it was recorded as an instrumental. Marcello Ciorciolini provided the Italian lyrics and this was adapted into English by Norman Newell. The song has also been recorded by such notables as: * Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass * Nat King Cole * Bobby Darin * Doris Day * The Drifters * Marvin Gaye * Robert Goulet * Earl Grant (Instrumental) * Brenda Lee * Tony Martin * Roy Orbison * Frank Sinatra with the Count Basie orchestra on their 1964 album It Might as Well Be Swing. And of course me ... Jaron and The Long Road to Love :) Facebook.com/JaronAndTheLongRoadToLove Twitter.com/JaronATLRTL Here are the lyrics: "More (ti Guardeṛ Nel Cuore)" More than the greatest love the world has known this is the love I'll give to you alone. More than the simple words I try to say I only live to love you more each day... More than you'll ever know my arms long to hold you so, my life will be in your keeping waking... sleeping... laughing... weeping... Longer than always is a long long time but far beyond forever you'll be mine, I know I never lived before and my heart is very sure no one else could love you more.
