from the Kander and Ebb musical of the same name. After the tune, Goulet, David Wayne, and the teenaged Michael Rupert perform Happy Time's "A Certain Girl" in a staging by Gower Champion. Goulet won a 1968 Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for his performance in The Happy Time. This performance is from a Tony Awards show (1968 I believe..)Robert Goulet is the only son of French Canadian parents, Joseph Georges Andre Goulet and the former Jeanette Gauthier. Though he was born in the US, his parents moved back to Canada just a few months after his birth.David Wayne (born Wayne James McMeekan) won the first ever Tony for Best Featured Actor in a Musical--as Og the leprechaun in Finian's Rainbow. He is best known on TV for playing various villans in the 1960s TV series Batman, Ellery Queen's father, and as Dr. Amos Wetherby in "House Calls". Today the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports:Las Vegas entertainer Robert Goulet, who won a Tony, an Emmy and a Grammy, has been hospitalized in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles with a serious lung condition, it was learned Saturday.Goulet, whose 74th birthday is next month, is on a ventilator after being diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis, which often requires a lung transplant."He said, 'Just give me a new pair of lungs and I'll hit the high notes until I'm 100,"' Vera Goulet said."I told him I loved him. He told me he loves me. He was ready to have the tube inserted. And he said, 'Just watch my vocal cords."' The couple's 25th wedding anniversary was Oct. 17.
