 | Sir Roger Moore was given a blue plaque Sir Roger Moore was given with a blue plaque at Elstree Studios on the 31st of October 2006.Roger was honoured by the Borhamwood Town Council, in association with the British film Institute at Elstree film and television studios. You can watch the film here. It is not in the best quality due to the limitations of the camera used but I am sure you will still enjoy Roger's speech. There is also a message I obtained from his co star of The Persuaders Tony Curtis which I had the pleasure of playing to Roger and all the invited guests. If you would like to go to Tony's official form I run it's at www.tonycurtis.info Or Sir Roger Moore's official website at www.rogermoore.com including his forum were Sir Roger answers six fan's questions each month. | The Best of British - Roger Moore TV Special Part 1/5 There's been many TV specials on Sean Connery over the years but few and far between dedicated to Roger Moore. This episode from The Best of British series makes up for that, it was broadcast on BBC1, 22 October 1999.His extensive career is covered, including Ivanhoe, The Saint, The Persuaders, Bond and his charity work for UNICEF. Also there is a rare chance to see some other clips from lesser known films and the amusing scene from the first episode of the Persuaders -- at the bar.Lois Maxwell, Jane Seymour, Michael Caine, Bryan Forbes, John Glen & Hal Needham contribute to the anecdotes. |
