 | Centralia PA - Coal fire destruction seen in 1988 film UPDATE: This entire film is now on NETFLIX for instant streaming only. I don't believe it was ever released on DVD. Those who are curious must check it out. Very strange to see Centralia so populated in this film ------------------------------- Centralia PA was the filming location for the opening sequence of the 1988 film "Made In USA". The town's destruction is captured brilliantly. Filmed during the mine fire's peak, the town waits for the government demolition. Yes, this is the real Centralia during it's demise. No special effects were used. The movie stars Adrian Pasdar and Christopher Penn. |
