 | The Piano - The Scent of Love (Michael Nyman) The Piano is an amazing movie- the cinematography stunning- like the piano on the beach and the sinking piano at the end. There is no praise high enough for Holly Hunter's depiction of Ada. Ana Pacquin and Sam O'Neill also shine. And Harvey Keitel- having gone native- by marking his body in the native style- gives a truly sympathetic and daring performance. This movie stays with the viewer long after it is over. At times I actually felt the dampness of the scenery... most of all it explores the regions of the heart- through the innovative music and the body language of Hunter. A film not to be missed by those who appreciate good story and good filmaking. Thanks Jane Campion for this classic. |

Sam Worthington was handpicked for AVATAR by James Cameron and made his mark internationally starring opposite Christian Bale earlier this year in "Terminator Salvation". Sam grew up in WA, moved to Queensland and found his way down to Sydney. After doing a series of jobs including brick laying, he graduated from NIDA and acted in theatre productions. In 2000, Worthington made his feature film debut with a starring role in the Australian film "Bootmen," in the role of Adam Garcia's brooding older brother. His performance garnered him an Australian Film Institute (AFI) Award nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role. His subsequent Australian film credits include "Dirty Deeds," with John Goodman, Toni Collette and Sam Neill, for which he earned a Film Critics Circle of Australia (FCCA) Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor; and "Gettin' Square," with David Wenham.  | X-Men Legacy: Cyclops Trailer This is a FAN-MADE, non-profit trailer, made purely for entertainment purposes. This was a fun trailer to make. I have been asked and asked by fellow Cyclops fans to do this video. As many of you know, he's my favorite comic book character, and one of the reasons I read comics. This isn't an X-Men Origins kinda deal. I'd much rather see Fox right the wrong from X3, and continue Cyke's story, rather than keeping him dead. This would also be a great way to introduce Havok and Mr Sinister, as well as better utilise Emma Frost and Beast. Plus it was fun using Sam Neill as Mr Sinister, even if it was only a few brief shots. I know Havok should be blonde, but having the propper mutant ability was more important to me than his hair. Here's my vision for a spinoff film dedicated to the X-Men veteran, and Marvel Comics legend, Cyclops! Synopsis: After the events that occurred in "X-Men: The Last Stand", the telepathic cocoon that held Scott Summers was opened, and Cyclops was realised into a broken world, where the former Mutant Cure turned into the deadly Legacy Virus, killing millions. Now, Cyclops reunites with old love Emma Frost, former teammate Beast, and long-lost brother Havok, to battle the mutant known as Sinister and the alien entity called the Brood.
