Galych's play "Matrosskaya Tishina", "Dad" ("Papa") tells a story of a Jewish father who dreamed of seeing his son perform on a stage in front of huge audiences, he dreamed of seeing him as the greatest violinist of his time. To achieve the goal he taught his son how to play the violin from the yearly age. When son grew up he left the small town he and his father lived in to study in the Moscow Conservatory leaving his past behind. But one day he has to choose either to loose his father or everything he has achieved. "Papa" realistically presents details of the Soviet realities from the 1930s to the middle of 1940s in Moscow and a small provincial town, as well as the tragic fate of many Soviet citizens including the victims of Holocaust during the long four years of WWII (Great Patriot War). The film which is very personal for its creator who plays against the type and practically lives in the role of an aging Jewish single father is moving, compelling, and treats us with wonderful violin music which is performed by one of the best musicians of our time, Vladimir Spivakov, the celebrated violinist and conductor. Niko is Serbian-Croatian (more Serbian) NOT Russian like in the movie (in game he said hes not Russian and he speaks Serbo-Croatian). If you think why Serbo-Croatian. Its cuz everybody said he speaks Serbo-Croatian not just Serbian or just Croatian and Serbian and Croatian language is the same (not everything but we understand each other) and it always was Serbo-Croatian language in Yugoslavia but everyone thinks hes Serbian. We think (Serbians and Croatians) he is Niko or Nikola Beli? (Niko Beli?). My comment on one video: Niko is Serbian-Croatian NOT Russian but i think hes more Serbian (but i dont care game is still great to me) xD. To me Serbians and Croatians are the same. We speak the same (not everything) but we understand each other. Im Croatian and i have many friends from Serbia. And just one thing Niko (Nikola) is Croatian name too like Serbian and we have Bellic (Beli?) in Croatia too like in Serbia. I dont care if hes Serbian or Croatian or Russian game is still the best game to me. And one more thing there are many Serbians in Croatia and Croatians in Serbia. We are friends xD I dont care bout war and that shits. Thats over now (we live now not then) that was then and now its over (war). We were in Yugoslavia and we were friends but we still can be and we are. |
