Harry Belafonte - Matilda
Harold George "Harry" Belafonte, Jr. (originally Belafonete; born March 1, 1927) is an American musician, singer, actor, and social activist. One of the most successful pop singers in history, he was dubbed the "King of Calypso," a title which he was very reluctant to accept (according to the documentary Calypso Dreams) for popularizing the Caribbean musical style with an international audience in the 1950s. Belafonte is perhaps best known for singing the "Banana Boat Song", with its signature lyric "Day-O." Throughout his career, he has been an advocate for civil rights and humanitarian causes, and was a vocal critic of the policies of the George W. Bush Administration. Born Harold George Belafonete, Jr., at Lying-in Hospital, New York City, New York, Belafonte was the son of Melvine (née Love), a housekeeper (of Jamaican descent), and Harold George Belafonete, Sr., a Martinican who worked as chef in the Royal Navy. From 1932 to 1940, he lived with his grandmother in the village of Aboukir in her native country of Jamaica. When he returned to New York City he attended George Washington High School after which he joined the Navy and served during World War II. At the end of the 1940s, he took classes in acting at the Dramatic Workshop of The New School in New York with the influential German director Erwin Piscator alongside Marlon Brando, Tony Curtis, Walter Matthau, Bea Arthur, and Sidney Poitier, while performing with the American Negro Theatre. He subsequently ...

To Sir with Love by Lulu
Lulu's later performance of the Soundtrack from the movie "TO SIR WITH LOVE" starring Sidney Poitier. One hidden treasure-Classic! She sang this song and appeared on the movie-that was many years ago...1967 to be exact! TO SIR WITH LOVE Those schoolgirl days of telling tales and biting nails are gone But in my mind I know they will still live on and on But how do you thank someone who has taken you from crayons to perfume? It isn't easy, but I'll try If you wanted the sky I would write across the sky in letters That would soar a thousand feet high 'To Sir, With Love' The time has come for closing books and long last looks must end And as I leave I know that I am leaving my best friend A friend who taught me right from wrong and weak from strong That's a lot to learn, but what can I give you in return? If you wanted the moon I would try to make a start But I would rather you let me give my heart 'To Sir, With Love'
Breaking Dawn Trailer *SPOILERS!*
***SPOILER ALERT, PLEASE READ*** I thought I'd give it go on Breaking Dawn. Tell me what you think of it! The song is "Nara" by ES Posthumus. * This trailer is for Book 3 of Breaking Dawn only. Except for the flashbacks Bella has of happier times, which include key Bella and Edward moments (including their wedding and honeymoon!). * Towards the end of the video, you'll see everything with a red tint, which is supposed to symbolize Bella's bloodlust or fury (remember she said she saw everything with a reddish tinge when she got angry). * I used the Official Cast EXCEPT for the shots of the wolves running, the witnesses, Renesmee (Nessie), and the Volturi. I only showed 3 of the MANY witnesses that helped the Cullens. The 3 witnesses I used in my video: Garrett -- John Corbett Zafrina -- Sydney Tamiia Poitier Benjamin -- Freddie Highmore * The quotes you hear from the book, at the beginning and the very end, are from the official Breaking Dawn audiobook. For the record, contrary to some belief, I thought Breaking Dawn was AMAZING. It is simply impossible for me to describe how good I think this book is. Comment and rate, please! All clips are owned by their rightful owners, not me. I do not make profits from these clips in any way. They're just for mine (and hopefully other's) pure enjoyment. :)
