This is the scene which was cut from the syndication print that were used on the Andy Griffith and Make Room for Daddy dvds. Andy Griffith; A Hippie with Money
This Scene from the TV Movie of the Week, as ABC used to call them, "Pray for the Wildcats", starring Andy Griffith in one of his darkest roles as a Sadistic Biker, was pretty memorable in 1974 when it first aired. He clearly wanted show his acting chops after being typecast as Sherrif Taylor for so long. Also starring a milquetoast William Shatner as an executive with glasses, and the late Robert Reed in a naturalistic performance as his pal and the forgotten Marjoe Gortner as the requiste counterculture youth appears in this scene. Angie Dickenson was slumming in it also.
