 | Gedung Arsip Nasional The National Archives building was built as a residence in 1760 by Reiner de Klerk, who became the governing general of the Verenigde Oost-Indische Compagnie (VOC), Dutch United East India Company, in 1777. Reiner de Klerk's residence was constructed as a compound of five buildings. The main building is a stately two-storey, brick structure with a high pitched roof and features a grand entrance hall and a beautifully decorated light vent above the main doors. The other buildings in the complex are smaller but are similar in style and were built as administrative offices and to house servants. Over its history the complex has changed hands a number of times. After the death of Reiner de Klerk the buildings were sold and later became an orphanage. The complex was subsequently abandoned and was left to deteriorate until the Dutch colonial Government converted it for use by the Mining Department. In 1925 the main building was renovated and became the Landsarchief (national archive). When the Indonesian Government took over the building upon Independence in 1945, it continued to function as an archive and has since been known as 'Gedung Arsip Nasional Republic Indonesia' (the National Archive Building of the Republic of Indonesia). The Indonesian Government expanded the compound with the addition of a two-storey u-shaped building, joined to the rear auxiliary building. The building's function continued until the mid nineteen-eighties when the archives were relocated to a more modern building. The complex then became vacant and steadily deteriorated until restoration work began in 1997 |
 | c64 orchestra performs One Man and his Droid by Rob Hubbard Music of Rob Hubbard and Jeroen Tel performed by C64 orchestra.A co-production by Micromusic Netherlands and productiehuis Oost-Nederland (ON). For this new production, Micromusic and productiehuis ON combined forces and invited members of the Dutch Ricciotti ensemble. Together with conductor Bas Wiegers they founded the C64 orchestra. This new orchestra focuses their attention on the groundbreaking 80s computer, the Commodore 64. Micromusic and ON also approached two of the most experienced C64-composers of the 1980's, Rob Hubbard and Jeroen Tel. The C64 orchestra will perform their music, with scoring done by Rob Hubbard himself. The game scores that are to be performed include the following Rob Hubbard compositions: Delta, Commando, Monty on the Run, One Man And His Droid and International Karate.Also Jeroen Tel's Cybernoid II, Hawkeye, Myth and Supremacy will be performed. |

Seven experienced musicians who take enormous pleasure in the interaction between the band and their audience.They go by the name of 'Zwarte Ogen' (Dark eyes), the title of a well-known Russian song, and their performances combine melodies from Hungary, Russia, Caucasia and the Balkans. By means of their virtuoso playing, the musicians recreate the typical atmosphere of gipsy music: melancholy, passion and exuberance.'Zwarte Ogen': an intense musical experience of captivating sounds and deep emotions.Zeven muzikanten weten de melancholie, hartstocht en uitbundigheid die zo kenmerkend is voor zigeunermuziek op onnavolgbare wijze neer te zetten met hun instrumenten én hun enthousiasme. Het orkest wordt gevormd door drie violisten, een klarinet- tárogató- en fluerspeler, een accordeoniste, een pianist en een contrabassist. Zij vonden elkaar vanwege hun gezamenlijke passie voor oude volksmelodieën uit Midden- en Oost-Europa, gespeeld op de manier van de rondtrekkende zigeuners. Zwarte Ogen brengt muziek om intens te beleven, met boeiende klankkleuren en diepe emoties. |
