Band Aid - Feed The World (Original Version)
Band Aid was a British and Irish charity supergroup, founded in 1984 by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure to raise money for famine relief in Ethiopia by releasing the record "Do They Know It's Christmas?" for the Christmas market that year. The single surpassed the hopes of the producers to become the Christmas number one on that release. Two subsequent re-recordings of the song to raise further money for charity also topped the charts. The original was produced by Midge Ure. The 12" version was mixed by Trevor Horn. Engineering an Empire - The Persians - Part 1of5
The Persian Empire was one of the most mysterious civilizations in the ancient world. Persia became an empire under the Cyrus the Great, who created a policy of religious and cultural tolerance that became the hallmark of Persian rule. Engineering feats include an innovative system of water management; a cross-continent paved roadway stretching 1500 miles; a canal linking the Nile to the Red Sea; and the creation of one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Mausoleum of Maussollos. The rivalry between Persia and Athens led to a 30-year war known as the Persian Wars, the outcome of which helped create the world we live in today. Peter Weller hosts.
Robocop Anti-Drug PSA
Taken from the VHS edition of Robocop right before the movie starts, actor Peter Weller explains the things that really bug his on screen persona. Apparently it's drugs. Drugs bug him.
Robocop 4 Movie Trailer (Fake)
A request by Ratchetfan1999. I'd love to see Peter Weller take up the armor and fight crime again! The first movie is still a sci-fi classic, and only by deviating from that films' heart and even darkness did the second film lose the magic. The character of Murphy (Robocop) is still a fascinating and iconic one, which still has room for exploration, and provided somebody with a genuine love for the franchise brings him back, you can count on great action, dark humor, and plenty of all-but-lost bravado and heroism I think. My fake plot for the film would be a huge nationwide riot, started by a ruthless organization which is using it as a cover for a political assassination. Robocop is called back to duty but must deal with not only the bad guys, but crazed innocent civilians and misguided rioters, making his job that much more difficult. He may even question the nature of justice, even though his whole life revolves around it. Of course, once he finds the assassins, things become a might easier to deal with, and the action ensuing would be epic, especially with the resurrected Jackal robot from the first film sent into battle. Well, hope you enjoy!
Screamers
2078: On a distant mining planet ravaged by a decade of war, scientists have created the perfect weapon: a blade-wielding, self-replicating race of killing devices know as Screamers, designed for one purpose only -- to hunt down and destroy all enemy life forms. But man's greatest weapon has continued to evolve without any human guidance, and now it has devised a new mission: to obliterate all life. Colonel Hendricksson (Peter Weller) is commander of a handful of Alliance soldiers still alive on Sirius 6B. Betrayed by his own political leaders and disgusted by the atrocities of this ever-ending war, Hendricksson decides he must negotiate a separate peace with the New Economic Bloc's decimated forces. But to do so he will have to cross a treacherous wasteland where the deadliest threat comes from the very weapons he helped to create -- the Screamers. With Ace (Andy Lauer), a young trooper, to accompany him, Hendricksson sets out on foot for the enemy bunker which lies across a wasteland poisoned by radioactivity and guarded by deadly Screamers. Miraculously the Colonel and Ace find someone who has managed to survive in the middle of this desolate killing ground - a small boy, David (Michael Caloz), lost, alone and clutching a filthy teddy bear. Taking David with them, the two soldiers forge ahead to the New Economic Bloc bunker, only to discover that the Screamers have beaten them there. Just three of the enemy survived the carnage: Becker (Roy Dupuis) a menacing soldier ...

SCREAMERS (1995) Trailer
Trailer for the 1995 sci-fi movie Screamers. Something of a cult classic which could be better known and perhaps better appreciated beyond it's budget sci-fi roots. A strong cast (especially Weller) hold together a somber sci-fi fest based on the Philip K. Dick short story "Second Variety". This film now has a sequel "SCREAMERS The Hunting" which is less strong but worth a watch. (SIRIUS 6B, Year 2078) On a distant mining planet ravaged by a decade of war, scientists have created the perfect weapon: a blade-wielding, self-replicating race of killing devices known as Screamers designed for one purpose only -- to hunt down and destroy all enemy life forms But man's greatest weapon has continued to evolve without any human guidance, and now it has devised a new mission: to obliterate all life.
